Common Questions about Try 12

Feeling hesitant is normal.

What is Try 12?
Try 12 is a serving opportunity designed for people who attend Hope but aren’t currently serving. Beginning on March 1, Hope Church is adding one additional service at Hope Lake Country to make room for our growing attendance. At Hope Watertown, volunteers will help create a great guest experience during a time of year when we expect more guests to check out church. During these 12 weeks—from March 1 through May 17—we’re inviting you to Try 12. Serve 6. That means serving just six Sundays over twelve weeks to help create a great experience for every guest.
What if I’ve never volunteered before?
You are exactly who Try 12 is for. Once you decide to serve, our team will provide training and help you get started.
Do I have to serve every week?
We are asking you to serve 6 Sundays over the 12 weeks. We’ll work together to find the weeks that best fit your schedule.
What happens at the end of Try 12?
We’re excited to connect at the end of Try 12 on what’s best for you. Want to keep serving? Great. Want to try a different team? We'll help find the right fit. Want to take a break? That's okay too.
I have kids. Can I still serve?
Absolutely. Many parents serve while their kids attend Hope Kids, or while they are attending a service. We work with your schedule on what’s best for your family.

Try 12 is designed to be simple, flexible, and supportive.
