The Good Life
What if the life you’re chasing is actually keeping you from the life you really want?
We all want the good life. But what if the things we’re chasing, like success, comfort, and validation, are actually pulling us further away from it? Over 14 weeks, we’re walking through Jesus’ Sermon on the Mount to discover a better way. These ancient words challenge everything we thought we knew about happiness, purpose, and what it really means to thrive.

When his ministry began, Jesus burst onto the scene. From the jump, people were flocking to him from everywhere. So, he used the opportunity to proclaim his Kingdom Manifesto, or as we call it, The Sermon on the Mount. If we are to repent because God’s Kingdom has come near, what does that look like? What does it mean, practically, in our inner and outer lives, to live in God’s Kingdom?
The Sermon on Mount is the answer, and it shows us the way to live the good life.

Blessed Are the Loud, Rich, and Self-Made? That’s the message we’ve all grown up with. Be louder. Go bigger. Look successful. But if that’s the path to happiness… why does it still feel so empty? This episode takes a hard look at what we call “blessed” in our culture—and asks if we’ve been aiming at the wrong target all along.

When Jesus introduced his brand-new followers to the ways of God’s Kingdom, he let them know that everyone is invited to enter, but it would not leave them unaffected. Jesus came so that everyone who encountered him would become part of a radical new countercultural community within the community. A community that has a disproportionate impact on the world around us.

Most of us think being “good enough” is the goal. Be kind. Try hard. Don’t mess up too much. But what if the bar is way higher than we imagined, and we were never meant to clear it on our own? This week, we’re talking about what Jesus really meant when He said He came to fulfill the law. Spoiler: it’s not about following more rules. It’s about something better.

Jesus begins his most famous message by shifting the focus from rules to the heart. In this section, He takes a command that seems straightforward, and then pushes it somewhere deeper. This week, we’re exploring what happens when anger lingers, when contempt takes root, and how it shapes us in ways we don’t always see. What Jesus says next is one of His most unsettling truths yet.

We live in a world that’s saturated with sexualized content - images, ads, and entertainment designed to grab your attention. But the way our culture teaches us to consume, view, and think about sex is shaping our relationships, and our mental health for the worse. This Sunday, we’re talking about the kind of freedom that no one is advertising: freedom from shame, and objectification. Jesus’ words from 2,000 years on sexual desire might be more relevant today than ever before. They might just change the way you see yourself and others.

What’s the cost of a little compromise? In today's livestream, we’ll explore how small loopholes and half-truths can erode our integrity—and why Jesus says the good life can’t be built on anything less than the whole truth. Join us as we look at what it means to live with integrity in a culture that often rewards cutting corners.

You probably have some difficult people in your life. They frustrate you; they annoy you; they disappoint you; they just make life more difficult. But they don’t have to keep you from living the good life. This week, we’ll learn what Jesus taught about dealing with difficult people and where dealing with bad people intersects with the good life.

Have you ever wanted to get caught being good? In Matthew 6:1-8 and 16–18, Jesus warns against doing spiritual practices like giving, praying, and fasting to gain the approval of others. There's a difference between doing things so others see you and doing things so God sees you. That difference? Check out the full service for more.

When you think about your money, how do you feel? Money is all around us. We use it, save it, spend it, and so much more. But what happens when money becomes the end goal, and not just the means? This week, we’ll see why Jesus thought it was important to talk about how we relate to our money – because it affects how we relate to everything else.

We all know what it feels like to be judged unfairly — and if we’re honest, we’ve done our share of judging too. Jesus doesn’t tell us to stop judging altogether, but to do it in a way that’s humble, loving, and redemptive. This Sunday, we’ll see how removing the “plank” from our own eyes can change the way we see God, others, and even ourselves.

We all want a life of joy, peace, and meaning—but it’s easy to find ourselves on a road that looks right yet leaves us empty. This message invites us to consider the path we’re really walking: are we chasing performance, or truly knowing the One who leads us into the good life we were created for?

Matthew 7:24-29 is the conclusion of the Sermon on the Mount—the final call after all of Jesus’ teaching. He tells a story of two builders: one who hears his words and puts them into practice, and another who hears but does nothing. Both face the same storm, but only one house remains standing. After everything Jesus has said about life in his kingdom, this is where it all lands: Will you build your life on his words, or not? It’s not about hearing more, knowing more, or feeling more—it’s about whether you’ll live like what Jesus says is true. In the end, you’re either going to do it, or you won’t.
