Challenge Accepted

Every generation of Christians faces a choice: preserve the status quo or pursue the mission Jesus gave us. This fall, Hope Church is choosing the mission. Challenge Accepted is a four-week series about the fundamentals of being the church. We'll rediscover the mission that started it all, the intentional growth required to become mature followers of Jesus, and the calling every believer has to represent Christ in the world. This isn't about adding more programs or filling seats. It's about building a church filled with people who know why they are here and are ready to make a difference. We believe God wants to do something significant through Hope Church. The challenge is in front of us. Will you accept it?

Episode 1 - “The Mission”

Jesus gave the church one mission: make disciples. Somewhere along the way, churches can become focused on preferences, programs, and comfort instead of the challenge Jesus put before us. In Part 1 of Challenge Accepted, we'll rediscover why the church exists and why following Jesus was never meant to be a spectator sport. The mission is clear. The question is: will you choose to accept it?

Episode 2 - “Faith Doesn’t Grow By Itself”

Many Christians assume spiritual growth happens just by showing up at church. Peter learned that growth doesn’t happen through osmosis. It happens through intentional and thoughtful effort. That is why Hope Church was designed around strategic environments that help people take the next steps toward spiritual maturity. The goal isn't simply church attendance or religious activity; it's becoming changed people who are change agents in the world.

Episode 3 - “Don’t Go Alone”

Jesus never intended Christians to follow him alone. When God saves us, he doesn't merely give us a personal faith. He connects us into a family. Spiritual maturity is not just an individual pursuit; it happens as believers encourage, challenge, serve, forgive, and carry one another. In a culture where loneliness is epidemic and independence is celebrated, the church offers something radically different. Faith grows in the context of healthy friendships.

Episode 4 - “A New Heart for Old Friends”

Oftentimes, sharing our faith can seem more like an obligation than an opportunity. But what if we have it backwards? What if before we share anything that might change someone else’s life, God wants to remind us of what he wants to change in ours? What if the real impact begins with my heart before God touches there? What if God wants to change my heart of stone on the way to using me to see others come to life?
